Two years ago Travis Austin and his family moved to Nashville, sight unseen, to grow his custom fashion business. Now he is one of Nashville’s most popular fashion designers and the go-to choice when country stars need custom hats.
"Their story is written in our product," says Austin. "That’s why these artists, and that’s why these athletes and everyone else comes to us."
Before Austin makes a custom hat he insists on meeting face-to-face with his client to learn about their life story. He uses their personal story as inspiration to make each hat unique.
His hats can be found all over Nashville and his clients include country music stars Jimmie Allen, Lainey Wilson and Lee Brice.
"Their story is written in these pieces," Travis told Localish LA. "It’s really easy to go buy something off a rack, it’s not as easy to come here and tell me your life story and allow me to put it in a product for you."
