So I guess I've had one or two people asking me when these will finally arrive, and HERE WE GO!

So at this point last year, Spyro saw a part-revival part-reform in the form of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, and I took the chance to go for the time limit challenges in that game, as well as own the final boss with solely the starters. And now, with the release of Skylanders Giants, it's inevitable that I'd be doing the same with this game too :D

All runs are done on the Hard difficulty, and believe me, up there some of those times were rather tricky to beat particularly some of the later ones, hence requiring more planning than the usual. As for an in-game timer, the game conveniently reveals your finishing time at the end of the level, so no need for one this time.

Anyway, I had recorded all my runs at this point so I shall state right now all the Skylanders I used during this run:

Tree Rex - The Giant that came with the game. If you take him down the Treefolk Charger path, not only would you actually get a pretty fast Life Skylander for once, but you've also got a speedy Giant out of the box! Since some of the levels required huge skips needing a Giant to get by, he was needed for each of the levels affected.
Spyro - A returning Skylander from the first game, he was brought in to handle faster areas that benefitted from the Magic type boost as well as a great area attack if you gave full priority to his fireballs. And we can never beat a Skylander with the ability to fly, right?
Bash - Another returning figure, this Earth champion packs amazing damage at 80 hp per tail swipe - making him more powerful than ANY of my Giants on hand at this moment in time! In the original game he was already badass enough to take out the bosses; now he's pretty much a pint-sized powerhouse with a similar purpose, even going as far as standard enemies with huge amounts of HP.
Gill Grunt - The third and last returning figure, Gill Grunt's high critical damage and great knockback with his water cannon makes him similarly ideal to use here. There weren't any major water skips this time though, but he still tore the place apart when brought in.
Fright Rider - One of the eight NEW Skylanders, and the fastest of the launch batch if you go down the Joust Jockey path. The combos associated with that path makes him very maneuverable and aggressive in battle, making this Undead champion a surprise addition to the team in spite of his low defense. In fact he almost owned an entire difficult level - will state which one later on!
Double Trouble - Remember when I said in the Pirate Seas vid that Double Trouble really tore up the Kaos bosses in the previous game? Well, this Magic Skylander has his uses here too! The journalist for Classic Game Room that reviewed the Double Trouble figure "made Kaos his bitch", and it's by no surprise that he would be similarly brought in to provide some heavy boss damage. Sadly due to his terrible speed stats, he doesn't get used as often as some of the other characters in the game, though he definitely has his uses in spite of this.
Ignitor - Another late addition to the team, Ignitor is mainly brought in for boss combat similar to Bash's use in the game. Though this Fire champion doesn't have as much raw power or speed, he does however pack a lot of aggression as well as a more stable line of defense. He like Double Trouble doesn't get used much, but he definitely makes an impact!

And now for the version - Wii, European release. Though I hadn't seen much of a difference between systems and regions to be honest :P

CHAPTER 1: TIME OF THE GIANTS [3m 2s]
Due to the Giant emphasis in this chapter, it's fair that I run through the entire thing with Tree Rex.

Forgotten Path - No problems here.
Mountain Peak - Similarly.
Turtle Falls - Not sure where that blundered step came from, but that seemed to go down okay.
Hungry Plateau - Brilliant run through the Bone Chompies.
Ancient Mine - Again, no problems.
The Hungry Depths - Lol, guess I leveled up here. Not to mention I forgot about the Arkeyan Jouster that came from behind. The bounce pad section went smoothly though.
Arkeyan Work Site - Solid run to the first chain.
The Planks - Again, some awkward footwork down that narrow section, but nothing too bad. Second chain came through perfectly. Enemy group prior to the third chain went a little weird, but it was made up for with a beautiful plight for the third chain.

Thank you ^_^
