Today saw the release of a new album within the Sonic community that I was involved with. A far-cry from Project Chaos or The Sound of Speed, the Sonic Paradox Remix Shorts has a more open source selection, albeit in a similar manner to SP's animated shorts, you are given a length restriction to make them with. The vast majority of the album has tracks that are no longer than 2 minutes in length, but you can be pleasantly surprised over what can be managed during that time.
Since they're obviously too short to do a full-fledged perspective vid, the vid itself just has samples of all 3 of my contributions for the album:
"Labyrinth of the Mind" - A synth-driven arrangement of the Act 1 music from Sonic Labyrinth... which imo is the worst Sonic game ever made :P But I saw it as a good means to put the idea across that even if Sonic's reputation is healing, he can't escape from the rough memories of this particular game. Also, yay Brawl quotes!
"Balsa Bridge Rag" - A ragtime piano arrangement of the Special Stage music from Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis version). Saw it as a good chance to portray how claustrophobic it felt to me, whilst still retaining the general upbeat nature of the source.
"Chocolate Chipped Cream Sundae Supreme" - A vocal arrangement of Rooftop Run from Sonic Unleashed, based around Chip's uncanny obsession for his ice cream namesake. I give special thanks to two people on the track's creation - to sonicsneakers for assisting with the vocal production, and to KNGI's Dj Mokram for loaning me his Werehog sound collection :D
The tracks used to open and close the vid respectively were ZXDX's "Race 2 Win" and VizardJeffhog's "Havoc Harbor" respectively.
