Previously, Davilas concluded the Thieves Guild quest line with the quest "Under New Management". Now, he will finally continue with the main story. He previously located Esbern in the Ratway. Now, for the quest "Alduin's Wall", he must gain entrance to Sky Haven Temple at the Karthspire between Whiterun and Markarth.

After resuming, Davilas fast-travels to Kolskeggr Mine, which is in the vicinity of the Karthspire. He goes south to the main road and then turns east. Then, he finds a bridge leading north to the Karthspire area. Look out for one or more dragons. Delphine and Esbern will participate in the battle. There is also a camp of Forsworn and Hagravens outside the Karthspire.

After clearing out the enemy camp, Davilas enters the Karthspire. A few more Forsworn await. He soon reaches a puzzle with some Akaviri symbols. Davilas must turn the three pillars to the shape with an arrow pointing down at the bottom. This lowers a bridge that leads onward.

Next, there is a puzzle of floor tiles. To get across safely, Davilas must step only on the same symbol he used earlier: the shape with an arrow pointing down at the bottom. There is a chain that Davilas can pull to make it safe for the others to pass.

Before long, Davilas reaches the Sky Haven Temple Entrance. A boss chest waits outside. To gain entrance to the temple, Davilas must examine the circular blood seal in front of the door.

After Davilas activates the Blood Seal, the door opens. Davilas now enters Sky Haven Temple. In the temple's main chamber, Davilas, Delphine, and Esbern find Alduin's Wall, a large relief set into one of the walls. Esbern concludes that an unknown Shout must be used to bring Alduin down. Delphine tells Davilas to ask the Greybeards about this shout, even though she does not seem to like them. This concludes the quest "Alduin's Wall". The player earns the trophy "Alduin's Wall" for finishing this quest.

Davilas takes on the next quest, "The Throat of the World". He must return to High Hrothgar and talk to Arngeir.

Next time, Davilas will carry out "The Throat of the World".
