heading over to Castle Kaarstag to find out we've already killed the boss. (I don't remember doing that, can someone remind me which episode?)
The tunnels underneath appear unexplored, though.

EDIT: Like AlthenaLuna said, it's because I didn't have the skull. My memory is pretty bad for the things I've only done a couple of times across my probably around 20 characters I've played.
