Slaying Tyrants BEFORE Chapter 8 - Xenoblade Chronicles X
Usually people would try to do this after finishing the story, right? That doesn't stop us from making a decent build. The lack of the flight module doesn't halt us from reaching Pharsis and Telethia either. We make up for all that with some skell parkour. The choice of weapon used is the longsword, thanks to both its busted offensive and defensive capabilities. It makes everything pretty easy, so I guess this is kind of a showcase of how overpowered the weapon is even with a subpar non-ether build. I'd have liked to make use of different weapons, but the lack of battle points before post-endgame is a problem... hmm, that could make things a bit fun though. Maybe I should try using level 1 arts to kill enemies next, huh?
The following skills are used in every battle: Steel Flesh, Fortified Flesh, Mighty Muscle, Aura Assault.
I've got to say that having Offensive Stance in combination with aura Assault removes the need to gear up on accuracy, as they can solve any potential issues in accuracy. Also, having OS apply a 3x independent multiplier, as well as AA applying a 1.3x independent multiplier boosts our damage a lot. These two are totally balanced, right? ;)
A level 50 skell can handle some of these tyrants easily as long as you've got some good weapons (diskbombs, drones, etc.), slayer augments stacked and that you make use of the board-cheese method; seriously, who thought it was ok to give players invincibility every time they enter or leave their skell? This bug (or should I say, this feature) is heavily exploitable - you can battle most enemies without needing to take a hit from them! This is what made the Luciel battle very cheesy, it's really dumb.
