In this video, two types of events of interest occur - the first involves an enemy moving itself into a large number of homing attacks during a short time interval. The other is a phenomenon that could be referred to as the "warping effect" - this is when homing attacks exhibit strange behaviour, teleporting to their target instead of travelling the full distance, usually as a result of the target's movement. Both events can coincide and cooperate to produce a nice light show.

More about the "warping effect": In battle, homing attacks need to take time to travel to their targets when fired. During their travel, the homing shots can possibly warp to their target(s), skipping the travel time. This is likely to happen if the target moves itself about while the shots are homing at them. This is something that can happen to the player as well; fleeing Telethia's ether lasers or other homing attacks can cause the shots to warp to the player. In this video we use Luxaar's Xern as the subject of demonstrating this phenomenon, along with a Gatling gun + Raygun. When the Xern moves about, this can cause it to collide with currently travelling homing attacks. At the same time, the movement can trigger the warping phenomenon upon other shots that the Xern hasn't collided into; if you observe closely in the video, you will spot that sometimes the shots immediately damage the Xern right after being fired. The Gatling gun was the best choice of weapon to demonstrate this occurrence, thanks to the slowly travelling arts Missile Volley and Fire Carnival, which both have a high shot count. It especially helps given the large distance between the player and the Xern. The Raygun art Beam Bomber was also a decent weapon to experiment with. The shots travel slowly, so more shots can warp at once, but the low shot count didn't contribute that well to the fireworks show (3 shots, each dealing 2 hits with a ~12 frame gap). It was common to witness the warping phenomenon with Fire Carnival and Beam Bomber, but not so much with Missile Volley.

So, the event of the Xern moving into the homing attacks, causing them to damage it is very easily understandable, but how/why exactly does the "warping effect" happen? Surely homing attacks aren't supposed to do this? I have no idea - it just happens! Additionally, it is possible that this phenomenon can also occur with any projectile-based shot and not just homing attacks.

This video might not be too interesting, but I still wanted to share this phenomenon and of course the fireworks too as I enjoyed watching them. Thanks for being here. Be sure to check out the other content in this channel!
