Wednesday and Thursday have largely been a nice break for the BC interior. For some of you that will continue. Snow will come through the southern interior on Friday as this next low wraps in, check your local forecast. I'm starting to think much of the interior will be spared and I'm not expecting a lot of warnings or watches on Friday. This active storm track is going to get pretty good again next week and we'll be following the story.
The real story is the pending formation of another perfect storm which could disrupt through next work week again. Warm ocean water, small arctic air mass, perpetual Pacific storms, tornadoes in California, record high temps across Canada? What is going on?
Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll be talking with CBC Meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe, I think we're interviewing each other about this storm pattern. Please subscribe and please check your local forecast, I'm just a guy who pays attention...I don't have computer models to play with and I don't have all the answers for your backyard.
Note: when I said HIGH PRESSURE when changing the millibars to find the height of the jet stream, I actually meant LOWER PRESSURE. Also, I'm not saying it won't get cold this winter sometime, I just think the later the arrival of any such Arctic air mass, the more likely that we'll escape any prolonged -25 snaps. It won't be long till the sun returns to places at the south end of the Arctic Circle.
