Welcome back everybody! To Let's Play #SlimeRancher - gameplay, part 15! In the previous episode of Slime rancher we have gathered all the new resources of the drill – so today we will play with the other new extractor Gadget from Slime rancher – The Pump! Just as the drill in Slime rancher the pump is the basic Gadget it requires plorts from the refinery in the lab. The novice pump and the advance pump require a good amount of pink plorts a few Tabby plorts and just a little of boom plorts and just as the drill – the Pump in Slime rancher can gather four types of resources which are:
- Primordy oil is a common resource obtained with a pump.
- Spiral steam is an uncommon resource obtained with a pump.
- Deep brine is a common resource exclusive to the Dry Reef, obtained with a pump.
- Lava dust is a rare resource obtained with a pump.
The special zone for the pump to receive the specific resource is the one closest to our ranch – the dry reach! If You build the pumps here You will not only receive the common and uncommon resource but also the special one. However keep in mind that this may lower the chance for you to receive the rare resource from the pump the Lava dust. Once again I did tested in Slime rancher does the actual placement of the extractor Gadget matter in this case to receive more or better resources. But its not, the place does not matter – the region does tho. So if You want to get a specific resource or not You need to build the pump in a region. The best option would be to build it close to a portal that will alow You to quickly move back and forward to check is the gathering Gadget did collect something already. In the mean time as we wait for the pumps to gather the resources I had to move in to the Indigo Quarry to feed the Rad Gordo Slime – with his favorite food the Oca Ocas. All the extractor devices in slime ranchers have tiers, so the novice tier is available right from the beginning when You unlock the lab on the ranch – but the advance pump is available only after a few circles of gathering. Tho I don’t know does the device matter for harvesting. As I found out the advance drill unlocked way faster but I have the drills in use in the past two episodes of Slime rancher while the pump was used only in once of the episodes. So in the end You have to make around ten circles of the pump and gather the resources from the extractor devices in order Slime rancher to trigger the discovery of the advance Gadget. I tried to test does the pump placement is important for the quality of resources harvested but I don’t think this is an actual game mechanic tho I belive if You place the pump it will give you the most Lava dust. But it’s a theory not tested in todays episode of Slime rancher it’s a information gathered from the slimewiki. In the end I belive the best place from the pumps in order to gather all the needed resources is just outside of the ranch in Slime rancher in the Dry reach – to gather the specific resource but also from time to time the Lava dust. The Lava dust just as the strange diamond is needed only for the very rare high-tech end Gadget not the common most of use ones.
