All of Luigi's voice clips from Smash 64, provided by Charles Martinet, pitched up from Mario's Super Mario 64 voice clips, and reused in Melee. Luigi was one of four unlockable characters in this game alongside Captain Falcon, Ness, and Jigglypuff, as well as the only real moveset clone in the roster (being a clone of his brother, naturally). This is also one of two Smash games where Luigi's voice is just archived from Mario's SM64 voice, but unlike Melee, I actually think it fits Luigi pretty well here, since the English version of Mario Kart 64 was the only other game where Charles voiced him at the time (Mario Golf 64 would come out a few months later), and thus his take on Luigi's voice wasn't fully established yet. That said, I still prefer how the later Smash games from Brawl onwards actually make Luigi sound closer to how he does in modern games (even if he does sound rather bored and unenthusiastic).
