---Heard you like that boss, so we'll make you fight a literal copy of it----

Blue Stinger is an action survival horror game released in 1999 for the Sega Dreamcast game console. It was localized in North America, Europe and Australia by Activision. This game was originally developed by a Japanese video game studio, Climax Graphics, and designed by then Climax CEO, Shinya Nishigaki. It was localized by Activision for the North American and European releases.

It is considered one of the Dreamcast's launch titles, notably first sold in
North American stores on September 2nd 1999, a week before the Dreamcast's release. Climax Graphics, later renamed Crazy Games, went on to make Illbleed, a third-person survival horror game on the Sega Dreamcast.

65 million years ago, a meteorite crashes into the Yucatán Peninsula, subsequently wiping out the dinosaurs and paving the way for humans. Now, in 2000, an island emerges where the meteorite is thought to have landed, and is granted the name "Dinosaur Island." A biotech corporation then takes up shop on the island. In 2018, Eliot Ballade, an elite member of the ESER forces, is vacationing near Dinosaur Island when something mysteriously falls from the sky and leaves the island sealed under a mysterious dome of energy. When a mysterious, ethereal being called Nephilim shows up to chase Ballade, he takes it upon himself to solve the enigma of Dinosaur Island.

This is the first game created by the defunt studio Crazy Games, the second and last game being Illbleed (which I did a full first play through on the channel). This game is technically shorter than Illbleed, but it's one of the most noteable Dreamcast games, due to more infamous reasons. The game's notorious for its drastic switches in tone, out-of-place bombastic soundtrack, and sub-par voice dubbing. Sources say that Ryan Drummond, the voice actor for Eliot, was paid only $100 for this role. Regardless, this game, like Climax Graphics' other game Illbleed, garners a small cult following for these reasons.

The game was release on March 25, 1999 for Japan and August 31, 1999 for the US. The game will be 22 years old on March 25, 2021.

At the very least, the game gives you a free get out of jail card with the life ropes if you are having a hard time. (It will teleport you back to you last known safe position if you fall off).

We're getting to the climax of the game now, I imagine I can beat this game in 2-3 more sessions, we'll see. Also like I said prior, you don't have to buy the weapons from the vending machines as you can find them if you explore/fight the optional bosses, but grinding for that money and buying them early game will make the game a cake walk in terms of combat.
