This is a playthrough using Red Arremer in the Arcade MVS version of SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos. Read on below for more information...

Red Arremer is one of two hidden final bosses in the game. You can fight him if you fulfill certain conditions during a single-player game before reaching the end. He is an unplayable character in both the original MVS arcade and AES home versions of the game.

This is an alternative version of the Arcade game, where the hidden final boss characters are made available on the character select screen.

===== ABOUT RED ARREMER =====

He is the annoying gargoyle enemy character from the Ghouls & Goblins game series, It is rather interesting on how he has made his way into an SNK fighting game. He is also known as Firebrand.

Gameplay-wise, a lot of his moves are "taken from" or based upon material from the G&G games. His main strength consists of him being able to "semi-spam" his assist characters (from the G&G games), effectively closing off space and making it difficult for his opponent.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- In single-player mode when playing as Red Arremer, if you have fulfilled the conditions to get to CPU Athena or CPU Red Arremer, you'll get Kyo Kusanagi's cut-scene after you beat Serious Mr. Karate or Shin Akuma. Then, if you defeat CPU Athena or CPU Red Arremer, you will get Ryu's ending.

---- When in a mirror match, he has no pre-fight dialogue.

---- He has no pre-fight dialogue with Athena.

---- After he defeats an opponent, the opponent will be transformed into a monster/creature.

---- When he is defeated by Athena or Red Arremer, he does not transform.

---- He cannot crouch, but he does have some low attacks when Down is pressed.

---- In some older English translations, Red Arremer is often called "Red Reamer" or "Red Devil".

---- He has starred in his own games: Gargoyle's Quest, Gargoyle's Quest II and Demon's Crest. He is known as Firebrand in those games.

===== ABOUT SVC CHAOS =====

SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is basically SNK's mainstream attempt at the crossover fighting game with Capcom. It was not as popular as Capcom's two CvS games, but SvC did develop quite a significant fanbase among certain groups.

The gameplay is your typical SNK system, it is somewhat similar to KOF and is quite technical. Combos are generally hard to pull off because it requires precision and also because there generally tends to be "less possibilities" when compared to a SFA or CvS game.

Graphics-wise, I think SNK did a very job at depicting the Capcom characters in the "SNK" style, they are very detailed sprites with impressive animation... M.Bison's chipmunk face and his waving hand in his neutral stance will always be a classic. Dare I say that I would have wanted to see more Capcom characters in this SNK style.

One of the best things about this game is definitely the pre-fight character dialogue exchanges. Every character has a unique dialogue exchange with every character... they really do give you an insight into each character's personality and their relationships with each other. If you like this kind of thing, then SvC is for you.
