From frozen forests found in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to mountain peaks in Celeste, from icy roads drove trough Mario Kart to snow covered planets found in Star Wars and Starfield, many are the areas in the digital gaming world covered in snow. Snow levels have been in the gaming world from day one and they still to this day make an appearance in all kind of game in Nintendo consoles, Play Stations and Xboxes. Similar to what I have done in this trilogy of videos composed by "Deserts in Video Games" and "Grasslands in Video Games" I wish to discuss the role snow plays in the gaming world and the various ways snow lands are depicted and used by developers in all kind of games I have played and enjoyed. Snow is an amazing element to have within an open world and a level alike, a monochromatic coluor with millions of shades. I hope you will enjoy the video! :)
