Why Review Bombing is Ineffective
54Many are the games that were review bombed over the past years like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, The Last of Us Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 76, and many more. Most review bombs are aimed towards awful games, but many more are towards games that have done something to disappoint fans, like not including cloud saving, exclusivity for the Epic Store, increasing prices in other regions, and myriads of other reasons. Wile I understand that frustration is the main reason for review bombing a game, I believe that it is not an effective tool and it can actually damage the reputation of user reviews as a whole. Furthermore, I believe there is a good and bad designs for websites to have for users to use to leave reviews: Metacritic and Steam are noticeable different even if they serve the same purpuse and I believe that Steam works much better than Metacritic.
