I'm not a fan of nerfs for difficulty adjustments, but this isn't so bad, yet.

Hard Mode's main differences are your shield maximum is only 3 and most enemies will shoot out COUNTER BULLETS! Some bosses receive moveset upgrades too, notably Trimurti's laser. Otherwise, disappointingly not too different from Normal mode.

I suggest to start making the formation slowdown and yellow's drill charge your friends. Notably drill charge for defensive purposes.

Also enjoy the phoenix formation while you can. This is the highest difficulty where you still can spam it.
