Solution - How to solve The Drop (by sloyd) AKA Ball and Chain Puzzle (spoilers)

This puzzle is a level 10, maximum difficulty puzzle. You may have seen my short (https://youtu.be/f6KkMgGVbEg) which showed my parody of how I messed this puzzle up.
Actually I did mess it up while trying to shoot this solution video, and I showed it at the start of my video.
Anyway, this is quite a typical type of rope puzzle, and as one of my friends told me, there are only a few ways to solve rope puzzles, which is quite true. Unfortunately I don't know any of the ways at the moment as I have not been solving many rope puzzles as you can see in this channel. So it took me way longer than expected to solve this puzzle.
This mechanical puzzle is basically a variation of the ball and chain puzzle, which seems to be a tavern puzzle long long time ago. The concept is rather simple, to find an alternative route to let the ring to escape from the system/puzzle. This variation has a slight complication (or red herring) which it included a ball that can pass through the ring. Was it necessary? I don't think so, but it did confuse me a little bit more.
In the end I was able to work out the solution, with a lot of frustration and also worrying that I cannot reset the puzzle along the way. Hope this video helps anyone who is stuck with The Drop, Droppen, ball and chain puzzle!
