SOLVED: Cargo Hold Puzzle in The Crew Quarters | Escape Simulator Gameplay Walkthrough | Puzzle Game
This #short will show you how to quickly understand and solve the puzzle that unlocks the cannonballs required to fire the cannons and escape to the next room on Valor, Escape Simulator's Steampunk DLC floating ship.
First, you can complete all of the puzzles on the main deck or skip them using the code "4638" on the hatch, then head downstairs to the cargo deck.
Next, inspect the directional lock towards the back of the room. Note the pattern of the three symbols (fire up top, flower below, and star to the right). With this information, inspect the large wall of the cargo hold and note the pattern starting above the box marked "D1". Also note the missing box on the right is a star, found in a crate on the floor.
Pull the crates from the corner of the grid to uncover another box marked "A2". These directions should help you to understand the rows and columns of the grid. Now, make a mental note of the positions for the flame, flower and compartment where the star would be if it were in it's place on the wall and not on the floor: D2, D3, E2.
Grab the note that's in the empty compartment and find the date that corresponds to the cargo labels that we noted above. You'll see that the date is 03/05.
Use and hold the lever on the wall to open the glass that's encasing the journal. After inspecting the journal, input the date (code from above) 0305 on the front and reopen it and use these directions on the directional lock.
Note: if you've used the lever upstairs to unlock the pistol behind the glass, you'll need to close it before being able to collect the journal.
Use your mouse to drag the directional lock up (North) twice, left (West) once, up again (North) once, and right (East) three times. The lock will open and you'll now have access to the cannonballs!
