https://www.patreon.com/ulillillia --- Pumpkin Hill and Dry Lagoon are really good places for picking on Omochao. The "find the lost chao" mission of Pumpkin Hill is surprisingly fast and easy to get. I can do it in under 26 seconds. The first piece shows this as proof (it took a few tries to get it right).
Right after that, I replay the same mission and, instead of going for speed, I focus on picking on Omochao and showing many of the strange behaviors and outcomes that come from it. There are many ways to disable Omochao. Balloons may be associated with prizes, usually rings, but they're oddly dangerous to Omochao. When you throw it at a balloon, it gets knocked out. Do that so it hits it in a spot where there's no ground below and it falls a very long way. As an extra challenge, I throw it at the balloon over the narrow ledge then wait for it to begin returning. On the way back, I must knock it out again while it's over the void.
Then I go to where the ghost train switch is on that C-shaped platform, the highest one with the switch. This is my newest most favorite spot for picking on Omochao. I use the Omochao here for sending far off the cliff, since the camera has a more downward angle, allowing you to see what's going on. While waiting for it to return, I dig a lot, getting a mountain of rings from this while being deeply entertained. I start by just putting Omochao down when right at the edge, causing it to fall a lot. I then place it down near the edge but not over it, then knock it down and push it over the edge (which, if you're fast, causes it to fall even more). Next is introducing the ghost train, bringing it in easy range to have it run over Omochao through nothing more than putting it down over the edge, causing it to fall onto the tracks. Next is throwing it at a balloon from this high vantage point and watching how far it falls where, if more on the left side of that balloon, it literally falls right through the solid ground. I then bring that Omochao to another area, hoping I can find some other new hazard to use. I didn't see any so I just placed on the ground and knocked it out with the usual drill dive and quickly kick it over the edge to eliminate that busted up wind up toy.
The last bit for Pumpkin Hill involves attempting to bring an Omochao with me to get to the chao, only, the problem is, while carrying something, it's not possible to jump high enough.
I then go at Dry Lagoon. First, I use Omochao as a weapon for getting rid of the robots guarding the turtle. In the upper area, there are these bomb-firing tank robots. Another episode of destroying an Omochao begins! At first, I intentionally overshoot the throw, where Omochao just flies right into the explosion on its own. As it comes back, I drill dive to attack it, if it's accessible. I then start throwing it directly at the bombs. If aimed and timed right, I can get as many as 3 hits in, usually 2. I go to another tank only to forget that Omochao flies back to its assigned base position. I then get the sneaky idea of grabbing one of those bombs and placing it right next to Omochao. Not affected - Omochao has to be in motion for it to take damage.
Next, I trap an Omochao, exploiting the sometimes flawed pathfinding. The one in the central area right over the oasis where the turtle is, on top of that white rooftop with the 8 rings around it is the perfect example. I just grab it then place it in the green water, going over the edge. The other Omochao there is also placed in the green water. The initial one flies up fast and hits the ceiling where it basically continues to try to fly up (grinding its propeller out, something that actually doesn't happen but would). The second one comes out of the water and and immediately lands back in its original spot where I just grab it and put it back in only to not be positioned correcly where I activate it as normal. And it was good timing as well because the first one on top of the roof finally flies through it. I go to the second part of the map and attempt to grab that first Omochao only for the game to not cooperate due to the fault collision detection.
Then comes my most favorite spot of Dry Lagoon (formerly my all time favorite but now it's my second favorite), but, along the way, one of the shards was present and it was well-blended with the grass, making it hard to see. For a good while, I repeatedly throw Omochao at the weight trap and hope the weight smashes it 4 times. With 3 and on the way back, I try to intervene by attacking it. Somehow, toward the end, I manage to successfully get rid of Omochao where it doesn't respawn for quite a while. That was the first time I ever had that happen. It took a good while to get it to spawn. I then polish off the last of the level.
