Welcome back to Sonic Battle, last time we finished Tails' story in which he found out what Emerl is and why they can't let him fall into the hands of Eggman.

This time we start the Rouge the Bat campaign.
Her story starts 3 days in the past right after Eggman threw Emerl out onto the beach.
We join rouge after she was briefed on her latest mission, she runs into Eggman talking about needing the 7 Chaos Emeralds and a certain password to truly reawaken Emerl, Eggman only found this out after he tossed him out tho thus now meaning he needs to find a way to get him back from Sonic and friends.

After listening in for a moment Rouge says hello to the doctor and informs him that he is wanted by the military for something, at which point he points out that he threw that darn "ultimate weapon" away since it didn't listen to his instructions, after this Eggman pulls out his latest creation build by taking the design from the gizoid and building something that does listen to what he says: E-121 Phi, he sends him after Rouge to test his invention.

Rouge is easily able to defeat Phi #1 earning herself a shard of a Chaos Emerald, which all the Phi robots are powered by.

Eggman retreats to try and power up his remaining Phi models, after this Rouge goes into the Central Lab to find out more about the gizoid, after which she heads down to the beach where she finds that Sonic was first to discover Emerl laying on the beach and link with him, so Rouge had to retreat after being beaten by Sonic, but she will come back for him later.

Back to present day, Rouge is planning to take Emerl now that she convinced Sonic to make him listen to her but before she can do that Emerl needs to be left alone (or at least not be with Sonic).

Back with Sonic, Tails and Emerl, Sonic is showing Emerl a new move but before this can happen Amy Rose shows up from out of nowhere, so Sonic being Sonic makes a run for it leaving Emerl with the command to listen to what Amy says.

When Amy gets there she notices the weird robot and because of some bad chose of words on Tails' part Amy now thinks Sonic is "ready for the next step" and takes Emerl as her son, after Tails leaves Rouge takes this as her chance to steal Emerl from the heroes, Amy tries to defend him but is ultimately defeated by the trained super spy.

After taking of with Emerl, Rouge runs into the fake "Gamma" and after it sees Emerl he goes into "Battle Mode" but like against the others this faker stands no chance against Rouge and Emerl, after defeating the Omega look-a-like Rouge and Emerl go to the Night Babylon.
