Sonic Character Development - Maria Robotnik Day 001 - CC4 Morph Sliders
Since I'm calling Shadow done for now work has begun with Maria. Just like the Robotnik model resembles Jim Carrey, actual talent from the movie, Im going to try my luck at trying to make a likeness of the actress Alyla Browne. Todays session was just using CC4 straight up as is and arranging some slider edits to try and narrow down really base forms of her look simply eyeballing the details. I dont have a lot of time here personally to try and completely her model so at some point I may short and cave in and see how good some of these damned 3D Gen AI softwares and see if they can produce a reasonable base mess. If the result is decent I may use that as a transfer for the base forms and then continue on with my own details in ZBrush. I know for sure in CC4 I have not upgraded to Headshot 2 and dont plan to because its too expensive but the first Headshot 1 already pretty much sucked to begin with so I will try my luck with Chat Avatar on the web. If all fails Ill just have to eat up more time and try my best fully manually.
If you are a CC4 user you may wanna follow this whole process just to keep up with some success stories, missteps and backtracks. There will be plenty of mistakes made I assure you, but the point is taking advantage of these pre-rigged humanoids, putting your own new bones and appendages on them and still retaining CC4s built in facial rigging if you are like me, a character modeler/texturer with no animation chops whatsoever. Come along for the journey, this mess is finna be wild!
