Sonic Character Development - Maria Robotnik Day 004 - CC4 More Morphs, Skin and Hair Adjustments
Todays session was a continuation of refinements to the face again with just sliders and some skin gen cheapo cop out textures. I thought I was gonna start on her suit today but I got too involved with trying to fix the face to attempt to look more like Alyla, even if stylized a little closer likeness is always better. I may circle back to do an XYZ skin texture pass but I doubt it since Im about out of time here. DEF calling the face shapes and morphs and visemes done (I am not making no dang perfectly matching to the actresses expressions morph edits no time for that at all). Next is starting to poly build and block out the suit. Tryna fly through that and head straight to texturing before its too late.
If you are a CC4 user you may wanna follow this whole process just to keep up with some success stories, missteps and backtracks. There will be plenty of mistakes made I assure you, but the point is taking advantage of these pre-rigged humanoids, putting your own new bones and appendages on them and still retaining CC4s built in facial rigging if you are like me, a character modeler/texturer with no animation chops whatsoever.
