I'd thought it would be high time to showcase some indie games from SAGE 2025 too. There's a lot of them, some really cool ones that promise a lot of potential. And me personally, I chose the neglected ugly duckling (I'm joking this game is actually pretty good looking) and try to promote it through the power of slight clickbait and SEO optimization shenanigans, because Lord knows 90% of my viewers won't even know about Windweaver (and probably some will unsubscribe because this ain't Sonic).
And I'm doing this because I genuinely had a lot of fun playing the Windweaver demo, just because I enjoyed speedrunning levels and getting W ranks (they're really REALLY hard to get).
There are some technical issues yeah, the most glaring being the terrain loading some seconds after you start the level, making the Sonic duck run awkwardly on thin air, but the movement, level design and even how the game makes you use power-ups for double jump and air dash is genuinely fun and inspired.
