pros (+) // cons (-):
+ stage design feels great (most of the time)
+ sonic feels better to control than the original trilogy, thanks to the drop dash
+ returning stages feel freshened up in a great way
+ stage gimmicks aren't overused
+ clean pixel art throughout the game
+ cutscenes are downright beautiful
+ some of the best music in the series
+ just an overall excellent sonic experience

- some parts in certain stages (lava reef especially) slow down to a halt
- bosses continue to be pathetically easy lol
- what is going on with the story... like at all
