After a bunch of trial and error on getting the export fbx to be the correct desired A pose variation I was finally able to get a placeholder custom Shadow model into Substance Painter. In the process quite a few steps had to be overcome, like matching the small nose stretched UV edits, error proof importation, edge hardening for normals baking, creating low/high/cage assets modularized in come cases, correcting and shifting texture sets for the most optimized number of textures tied to a single name. All and all after all the prep work I still didnt hardly get to any texturing yet other than the eye pupil model. Next time will be continuing to texture so we can have correct color schemes when trying to edit and fix shadows iconic expressions.

If you are a CC4 user you may wanna follow this whole process just to keep up with some success stories, missteps and backtracks. There will be plenty of mistakes made I assure you, but the point is taking advantage of these pre-rigged humanoids, putting your own new bones and appendages on them and still retaining CC4s built in facial rigging if you are like me, a character modeler/texturer with no animation chops whatsoever.
