Soul Blazer first playthrough, part 2
1With some major points of confusion behind me after part 1, I was hoping that part 2 of my playthrough would go more smoothly. Fortunately, for the most part it did. This part picked up less than halfway through the second area, and finishes after the third.
I was concerned once or twice about hitting conveyance walls, but was never stuck for very long. Probably the most disconcerting bit was when I wasn't quite sure what to do to get to the final temple in GreenWood; as it turns out, some sleeping NPCs don't remain asleep forever (easy to forget since up until this point most of them do), and one of them provided an extra hint after it woke up.
The areas in Soul Blazer have certainly been getting more interesting; I thought the way St. Elles was organized was pretty smart, as has many distinct areas but manages to make them relatively quick to get to, even when they can't all have fast-travel points.
I wondered how bosses would pan out after my experience with the first one, but the second and third bosses have been far more fluid encounters, mostly thanks to not having extremely annoying arenas and invincibility conditions. The third boss did wreck me a few times until I got my act together though.
