Soul Blazer first playthrough, part 3
0Given the pace I was on so far, I was kind of figuring I might get through one area per stream from here on out, since I assumed the areas would also continue getting bigger. Welp, I sure was wrong!
Area 4 felt like the fastest area I've played yet, although I have a feeling I must have missed one or two details, as there's at least one NPC I haven't figured out how to access.
Area 5 felt quite a bit bigger and was rather interesting. First and foremost, we finally gained access to equipment we've been anticipating for a while, enabling some backtracking. This area also surprisingly featured some reused/reskinned Actraiser sim mode assets. I can't help but wonder about the circumstances behind those bits - were they created as some sort of experiment or fun side project and eventually integrated? Or was this invented as an opportunity to save time?
Only one stone remains, but the map seems to be hinting at more to come after area 6... and there's still a bit more room for backtracking. I wonder if I'll be able to seal the deal in the next stream?
