Ah, I can still hear the violins right now when I read this sentence.
Originally 'Soul Blade' on Playstation 1, a fighting game I've played countless afternoons on, if not for the entertaining battles then it was for the story modes in which you could unlock new weapons per character by defeating enemies that just a bit were more difficult than in the usual arcade matches.
Over the years the name of this franchise changed to 'SoulCalibur'.
Speaking of characters, in addition to the names associated with the franchise, you will also notice that you will be able to choose characters from other game franchises to fight with such as 'Yoshimitsu' from Tekken and even 'Geralt' from The Witcher. (In Soulcalibur II you can also fight Link from The legend Of Zelda)
Just like in previous parts, part VI also has a story mode in it.
This time there are two different story modes.
The first is the Soul Chronicle, and this mode is very similar to what was in previous installments.
You follow a story for each character that all take place in a certain time period.
The other mode, the Libra or Soul mode, in this mode you make your own fighter, which I personally think is a nice addition.
In this story mode you will travel across a world map to perform missions in different locations, a bit like the story mode in the original story mode from Soul Blade.
Also every fight will be disadvantageous to you,
one opponent will have extra lives or the other can regenerate health, which makes it a lot more difficult for you, but it doesn't always have to be easy, right?
The fighting mechanics still feel good and smooth in the year 22, you won't have to force yourself to perform the combo you want to do, but be prepared for a prepared AI, a must-have for Soul Blade fans anyway. a great recommendation for fans of fighting games.
