Soundsaber gameplay is a mixture of Audiosurf's music-generated levels and Geometry War's abstract twin-stick shooting.
The game is still in the pre-alpha stage of development, but in this Soundsaber gameplay video we can see the complete experience of shooting for the highest score possible, with the enemies generated based on your chosen music.
Soundsaber gameplay alters depending on how well you're doing. The difficulty "dynamically adapts," say the developers. "Getting hit will lower your Groove meter, which in turns lowers the difficulty but also lowers your potential score as well as your final rank."
Soundsaber supports many types of music file including mp3 and Ogg, and will add in support for more formats as it develops. Soundsaber can be played using an XBox 360 controller or keyboard & mouse. Soundsaber Mac and Linux versions are planned.
