678Always Board Never Boring is super excited to bring a playthrough of Space Crusade to the channel. In this first mission battle report, a hopelessly outnumbered tactical squad of Blood Angels enter a space hulk in hopes of hunting down a chaos dreadnought. Things go about as well as you might expect...
This is my first time playing the game in over 25 years, so there's every chance there are a few rules mistakes, but hopefully you all enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed playing.
A few notes on the playthrough (minor spoilers ahead):
1. Yes, I make a tactical blunder leaving a space marine exposed in a corridor in the first turn. I should have used his two remaining movement points to hole up in one of the rooms.
2. Yes, I muller the pronunciation of Mekaniak twice. It was late. I was tired. And I'm stupid.
3. It's debatable whether I should have lost 5 or 10 points for the death of the assault cannon marine, because he was armed with only a bolter at the point he died. If it was only supposed to be 5 points, then my marines actually put in a "commendable" performance and I would have got one honour badge (requiring four to go up a rank).
