Sparky Hills of Death | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
302A few weeks back I received multiple comments from viewers to check out a Mascot Horror game called Sparky Hills of Death. Since it was October I was very busy with other spooky games, but now have finally had a chance to sit down and archive Sparky. This was made by a small Brazilian studio and offers a short horror experience that utilizes your microphone.
The game has us play as a developer for a software company and we are tasked with testing out a new version of an upcoming game. But something goes horribly wrong and the mascot of the game comes to life and destroys the entire office. Now we have to escape while avoiding a patrolling Sparky.
I think Sparky as a character is charming and I love the angle of him being a video game mascot. The part where you actually get to play the game was nice too. I do think the game can still use a bit of polish as some of the enviroments lack in detail and there is a dream sequence that goes on a bit too long while nothing is happening. I would suggest more art and details in the area or maybe have more characters to interact with. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see there was another character in the game that you interacted with that included voice acting, but that only happens once unfortunately. The developers let us know that there will be a chapter 2, so hopefully that will bring some improvements.
