Zardy's Cave | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
159It's time for another Mascot Horror game and today we take a look at Zardy's Cave. This was also requested by multiple viewers and apparently there had already been a game labeled Zardy's Maze. It was a small indie title and this is the follow up to that story. We find ourselves lost in a dark cave filled with blue, sharp vines and various pumpkins. But we are not alone as a sinister scarecrow is following us through the dark.
The game has some great charm with warm, cartoony visuals and actually really good voice acting. There are some cool puzzles and platforming sections, but the main gameplay mechanic are the mazes. The mazes start out without any enemies so that the player can get used to traversing them. But towards the end of the game you have to find your way through really vast, sprawling mazes while being chased and it can get really intense and scary.
I do hope for the next chapter that they will give a bit more scenes where you interact with the characters. The characters are great, but the downside to the maze gameplay is that you are always running away from them and thus can't get a good luck. Other than that Zardy made a really good first impression and I cannot wait for chapter 2.
