205At the end of the year we are blessed with some really strong and good horror games and Go Home Annie is one of them. It is actually an SCP game and I am glad we got one of those again, because it seemed to have slowed down a bit with the SCP releases.
But Go Home Annie actually has quite some production value behind is as it has plenty of cutscenes, voice acting and different gameplay mechanics to it.
We play as Annie who is stuck at the SCP facility. In order to find out what has happened to her father she wants to escape and will use the help of her guard and overseer friends.
The first half of the game is excellent as there is plenty of fan service for lovers of SCP games. It was cool to interact with John the guard who's attire is straight from the original game.
There are some really cool moments and plot twists and I enjoyed it immensily. I do think that the second half of the game is a bit weaker since it focuses more on lengthy puzzles instead of storytelling. I think the developers are very talented and are able to create wonderful stories, character and world building. I hope that for their next game they will focus more on that than just the puzzles.
