I finally decided to set my plan to record my first encounter as Specter Knight himself, a new commitment that isn't Touhou (but that remains the main attraction of this channel). I've never seen him being played before, so I was indeed going in fresh. To all of my countless, ridiculous deaths.

His ability to auto-home into a target above and below him looks and reeks of awesome, but if timed incorrectly, a world of hurt awaits instead. And unluckily I had to be a victim of this world of hurt. Some of them could've been handled better, some needed faster reactions, but at least I managed to challenge Black Knight along with his...new companion Terrorpin, I...guess. With little issue, Black Knight fell. Other than that, the rest was sloppy. What a pain.

With that, I nailed down the basics behind how Specter Knight moves, or at least how they work. Specter Knight can run on stone walls for a very brief period; if timed well can get you on top of a ledge, or make you fall to your death. One can also walljump this way. Lamps, enemies and objects can be used to propel Specter Knight upwards or downwards at a faster speed, and can also be used to home onto a target, useful for boss battles and difficult enemies. His 'life' is his will since he is basically undead, so it's a lot like Cirno's motivation in Touhou 12.8 - Great Fairy Wars, in that she can't die but can lose her will to fight.

Then a meaningless walk atop the Tower of Fate. I hope to explore the Tower and give it a better spotlight in the next part.
