Touhou 12 ~ Undefined Fantastic Object - Stage 5 Normal Clear as Sanae B [All Spellcards Captured]
3Right after clearing UFO as Sanae B yesterday, I dozed off a little. I resorted to waking myself up by going after a very certain Shou spellcard. I ended up having one of the best Stage 5 runs in general that it would only be doing it justice if I upload it.
A run-down of the spellcards in this replay:
_/ Nazrin's Jeweled Pagoda "Greatest Treasure"
Just an easymodo version of Shou's "Radiant Treasure". All you have to do is alternate where you're standing between the middle and then a slight left or right, and dodging the oncoming barrage of bullets.
_/ Shou's Jeweled Pagoda "Radiant Treasure"
Shou moves a lot more than Nazrin's earlier spellcard, but she moves predictably and systematically unlike Nazrin. However, the semi-laser barrage can cover more angles now. And also there are 'snakes' when the semi-lasers are shot out, making just the mere thought of grazing the lasers a risk.
_/ Light Sign "Absolute Justice"
Tight corridors made of semi-lasers with arrows slowly confining you to the bottom (or top if you're a lunatic), as well as Shou's semi-circle of circular bullets. Trying to find a good corridor and heading vertically to the middle of the screen when the semi-laser corridors disappear is key to success.
_/ Buddhist Art "Most Valuable Vajra"
The entire reason why I chose to practice UFO's Stage 5. A tricky high-speed spellcard where your position decides where the hands of the lasers will rotate around next. Add to it Shou's oval bullets and the spellcard is certainly, very difficult. By pure luck I managed to survive one oval bullet even though it was directly over Sanae's hitbox. I'm still unsure how that happened. It should have killed her. Maybe that's Sanae's power coming into play, maybe? The divine power to cause miracles?
_/ Light Sign "Demon of Purification"
It appears as if Stage 5 was all about getting you to learn how to deal with those semi-lasers that turn into bullets which spread all over screen. This time they come out horizontally and then randomly disperse. The barrage is even thicker than before but I think it's easier to handle from the bottom.
For a really hard Stage 5 encounter (but not as nuts as Clownpiece or especially Orin, or as random as Sakuya's), this has went unexpectedly too well, with one bomb right before Nazrin appeared and none after that. I am impressed.
