Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom Extra Spellcard 118 - "Trinitarian Rhapsody"
This is part of an upcoming video which highlights this game's version of everyone's favorite spellcard that every Extra Boss has to offer. The survival spellcard. And that's because there's no shooting to be done on your part...you either dodge well...or die trying, really. By the time I finally managed to see it, everyone's favorite miracle god (unless you're exclusively on the side of everyone's favorite maid) already ran out of spell cards at that point, so I had to do my best in hopes of also causing a miracle for her.
The first phase is a warm-up for pretty much everything else. The patterns are fixed and they get you used to the theme of 'rings overlapping other rings' with a lightweight snack. Going by Hecatia's earlier spellcard patterns, this should be the Otherworld phase. Next up is the Earth phase which is the hardest phase (Hecatia's Moon spellcards are the hardest on the other hand), because now the triangles spawn where your hitbox's last position is, forcing you to keep moving in a circular pattern all over the screen if you really want to survive. A harder and faster paced version of Murasa's Ghost "Sinker Ghost", and if you're used to Clownpiece's "Fake Apollo"/"Apollo Hoax Theory" like I am, the trouble resulting from managing this phase can be limited. Of course, taking your guard down at this point is dangerous.
But it is not any less in the final phase, which has a mostly deceptive easy start, then later devolving into Hell as defined by Hecatia. It still has gaps which are larger and slower than "Blue Lady Show" has, and that's something.
This is it for the spellcard. By Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom standards, this spellcard is surprisingly...fair. Which is a shame because nearly every other ordinary spellcard in the game is an exhausting mission of death. This and Clownpiece's "Fake Apollo" are easier compared to the main game itself. Also the triangles don't hurdle your vision as much as it seems in the video, or any replay for that matter. That said, don't stay in the exact middle by the end of the spellcard. If you slow down the video to a crawl, you'll notice Junko spawning there for a split-second before disappearing. This is where the spellcard gets to be downright evil as it may cause you to lose a life there. And if you bomb, you might end up having to deal with Junko earlier as well, as it forces her to appear.
I also hope you enjoy how I perfectly managed to sync the start of the music's tune with the spellcard and how the last phase is also timed with the 'going nuts' part of the theme, because let's face it, Hecatia's theme is all a build-up for this part of the theme. It's awesome. In turn though, I had to cut out the editing. I was lazy anyway.
