Speed limit [Smash Ultimate]
15Smash puts a limit on how fast a character can go. But instead of making it a universal speed cap or maximum speed multiplier, they tied it to the animation speed.
I've been wanting to make this for a while because it is weird but I didn't know why some characters could be faster than others when they are normally slower. Now that I have the details, you will too.
This limit also exists in Smash 4 and can be reached with good enough equipment, but screen-wrap stages and portals don't exist so you might not be able to accelerate to full speed before running off the edge. Not sure about Brawl and earlier but those games don't have anything that can reach 5×.
