Picture this. There is a beautiful island where nature thrives and the native people live in peace and harmony until one day invaders from beyond the known sea appear and begin colonising and blighting your tropical paradise.
Imagine now that you are a spirit, born from mother nature with different special powers. You are the soul of the island, ready to fight with the natives against the would be colonisers ready to push them back into the ocean. This is Spirit Island.
Spirit island is a fully cooperative board game where players take on the role of different spirits as they defend the island from invading colonists as they try to, protect the island natives the Dahan generate fear, and work together in synergy to increase the terror level so that they can scare off the invaders forever. If they can meet the victory conditions (usually involving destroying all of the cities or towns on the board) at the current terror level they win the game!
