Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vs Watson & Holmes
Board Game Review & Runthrough

In this video we investigate we compare two Sherlock Holmes themed board games to decide which of them is better!

Fans of Jonny Lee Miller's Elementary, Bennedict Cumberbatch's portrayal on the hit BBC series Sherlock as well as Robert Downey Jr's role as Sherlock on the big screen have reignited a keen interest in the mysteries of Sherlock Holmes.

Two board games have sought to take on the theme of Sherlock and weave them into a rich narrative driven board gaming experience.

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective has had many revisions and is currently being rereleased as Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Thames Murders & Other Cases by Space Cowboys. It is a cooperative storytelling experience where players follow leads using the case book, map of London and London Directory. Players aim to try and beat the master sleuth himself by answering a series of challenging questions about the cases they have just solved.

Watson & Holmes is a competitively driven board game experience where players compete against each other to visit locations first in order to gather clues and solve the mystery before all of the other players do. Players can risk it all by racing to 221B Baker Street and attempt to solve the case. If they answer correctly, they win, if they don't they fail and become Sherlock himself and help the remaining players to win.
