Splatoon 2: Avoiding trouble in Tower Control [8(2)-0, Grim Range Blaster]
It's the standard dash to be close to the Tower, but I rather suspect someone is coming around our flank. Eventually. Maybe the bucket wanted to charge their Ink Storm. Either way, I get a nice direct hit when they finally appear, and take a bit of time covering their tracks, so they don't just slink right over again. My squidmates ride the Tower a bit in the meantime, squabbling over it with the green team, and my position turns out to be nice and defensive. It helps that the Splattershot Pro is chasing a squidmate, letting me have time to line up a couple of shots.
Some Tenta Missiles help stop the Tower, and I'm saved from the returning bucket by something. I don't know what, it doesn't matter, I have a Dynamo Roller to deal with. And more Tenta Missiles. And an advancing Tower. Moving along the Tower's track helps with all of those things, and my squidmates sacrifice themselves to stop the Tower. I appreciate it, squiddos. Pushing forwards again just misses the Tri-slosher, but a Burst Bomb catches the inky Dynamo Roller nicely. It's a nice advantage to sit behind the action and have no one look your way.
I tidy up, launch some Tenta Missiles at the wrong time, and am not needed to watch the ramp for the Splattershot Pro. I keep watch on our flank, though, and get the attention of the Tri-slosher, who gives chase briefly before realising that my squidmates are romping forwards with the Tower. I realise that too, and push forwards to support more directly, or at least launch more Tenta Missiles at returning pinklings. Having two hits from two targets is a nice result, and with a bit of ranged blasting, and more of the enthusiastic Tower riding from my squidmates, the Tower hits the goal with time to spare. Woomy!
