Splatoon 2: Rear support in Tower Control [14(3)-2, Heavy Splatling Remix]
That Dynamo Roller's B-bomb gets charged pretty quickly. I'm still inking around the Tower! And a bit on the Tower, when the Aerospray pushes it forwards a little. A squidmate takes over, which means I can hold back and ink at range, at least until I get on to the hoop. Now I can support directly. Someone comes my way just when I run out of ink, but also as my B-bomb charges. That's lucky. I wait to see where they go before launching it, and they're just running away, so I turn back and find the Dynamo Roller trying to hide. With them out of the way, my squidmates push the Tower in to a strong lead, as I struggle to keep up with them.
I head backwards as the Tower returns, almost getting caught out by a pinkling who thankfully falls of the ledge whereas I make the jump. I'm not out of danger, though, as ink flies in from various directions, but my squidmates are doing well to engage directly, letting me sit back still. I keep the pressure on as best I can, and almost get caught when thinking about riding the Tower, but luckily the Aerospray uses their B-bomb instead of just shooting me.
The Tower idles around the middle of the Arena, and with pinklings here and there I'm not going near it. I keep the inky pressure on, and spot movement in the ink next to me to get a good splat. Turning back to the Tower gets two more splats, and with a squidmate getting the fourth, we're all clear to make another push. I hold my B-bomb for a moment, activating it when all of the pinklings are likely to be approaching the Tower, launching it for cover, if not splats.
One pinkling challenges me on the hoop, but I'm ready for them, and I suppress another whilst inking turf to make it hard for them to approach me. Even so, they force me backwards and close the distance with some impressive speed. The N-ZAP '85 inks turf really efficiently, making it look like the pink team are dominating within seconds. We need to recover that turf as a priority, as our lead gives us the luxury of letting the Tower come our way for a while. Still, if you have a B-bomb, cover, and good aim, why not use it? Two splats is a good result.
Before long we've turned the battle back around to our advantage, although with the pinklings returning from their base, and our lead already being pretty strong, we don't turn it in to much more than just a useful time sink. I am caught by the other N-ZAP as I try to splat the Dynamo Roller, but the turf is green enough for me to super-jump back, as my squidmates somehow increase our lead, edging closer to the goal, but it's something of a solo effort by this point and we simply can't catch up quickly enough to steal the victory.
I do well to avoid the attentions of a couple of pinklings, jumping across to their ledge to escape, and then staying their to divide their attention and apply some pressure. It's all good, as with seconds to go in the battle they have to focus on the Tower, and with the Dynamo Roller looking at me, my squidmates are easily able to keep the Tower free and secure the victory. Woomy!
