Splatoon 2: Squeezing past in Rainmaker [7-4, Splattershot]
It looks like we can burst the Rainmaker's shield, and then not, and then maybe, and then I run in to a Splat Bomb anyway. It's quite a rollercoaster of an opening. I take the early opportunity to ink a new route towards the action, and just ink from the roof a bit. The Bloblobber finds me, and I have the good idea to jump to make myself more difficult to hit.
I do some tidying up on my return, before wondering if I should try to get behind the yellow team or not. The turf looks very yellow, and I've been splatted quickly twice so far. Before long, the yellow team grab the Rainmaker and force me to move, which I do with not much grace. I ignore the Flingza Roller for the moment, but make sure they aren't about to ambush the Rainmaker once we grab it. The .96 Gal surprises me, and although we both run away from each other, they are the ones to find the better spot to turn around.
Everything is too yellow, which won't be helped by inkoming Tenta Missiles. I tidy up, to stop quick pushes from the yellow team, and somehow stop the Rainmaker with a Burst Bomb, before failing to drop on the Dualie Squelchers. A squidmate helps me out with them, which is nice, even if it means I'm pretty much just trying to hold our turf at the moment. At least reclaiming turf charges my Splashdown, although may doesn't help with my having any idea where the Rainmaker is.
Hey, I've found the Rainmaker! I even splat it, with a Splashdown meant for the Dualie Squelchers. That's cool. I even splat the .96 Gal for a neat triple. I don't really have time to think about finding the Flingza Roller, though. Still, a B-bomb comes flying in to splat them, and lets my squidmates steal the lead too. That's a pretty good result!
I think it's worth super-jumping back. I've been wrong before, but not this time, and just about out-dodge the dodge-rolling Dualie Squelchers to give me access to the Rainmaker shield. I'm aware of the .96 Gal manoeuvring around to stop my ink flow, but don't quite notice them approaching anyway. Thankfully, the Rainmaker shield inksplodes at just the right moment. Nice!
Even better, there is just enough of a path over the steps, past the Splash Wall, and up the podium to sneak the dunk under the noses of the other three yellow inklings. Woomy!
