Splatoon 2: Bouncing blobbles everywhere in Tigerfest_ Insurrection [19(1)-5, Bloblobber]
GIR has chosen the weapons, and I can't help but pick the Bloblobber. I don't use it normally, as its effectiveness is a bit silly, but when we're mucking about it seems about right. It's probably a bit weaker in Tower Control anyway, because of the blobbles needing to be aimed upwards, and there not being much on the Tower for them to bounce around on. Still, it's a fun weapon, and I like an excuse to use it. Fun it may be, but it will get me splatted if I think it's overpowered, so I just ink for a bit, have a Splash Wall get disintegrated (probably saving me in the process, and skirt round the Tower. New-to-Tigerfest Big John, finds me near the Tower when I think it's safe, and uses my second-favourite weapon against me. Welcome, Big J!
I try to show how powerful the blobbles are next, as a B-bomb is prepared next to me, but am a little too confident. I blobble Big John away from pestering our flank, before hassling the long-range support of the yellow team. The Heavy Splatling evades me, but the Dynamo Roller makes a mistake in getting closer. The bucket just gets in the way, which is nice. I jink to intercept the Tower, seeing two inklings on it and anticipating a quad-splat, but Egge has other plans. I see what I can do about Egge as I return, with them still causing us problems on the block. They nearly dodge me, but I have just too many blobbles.
I do some blobbing and dodging, and push up as my squidmates starting moving the Tower. A Splash Wall keeps me safe from the Dynamo Roller, and the power of the bouncing blobbles comes in to its own, as I splat each yellow inkling one by one. Chasing the returning Dynamo Roller pauses the Tower when maybe it shouldn't be paused, but a squidmate hops on to keep things moving, giving us the lead. I stick close to the Tower, moving around it to support, getting three more splats, but pushing my luck against Egge's Heavy Splatling this time.
We have a good lead and good turf control. That turf is being turned yellow quickly, though, and my leap forwards doesn't do us any favours. The Tower trundles onwards, and thankfully our strong lead helps us defend as it rounds the corner. My Blobbling helps too, as I can be precise and indiscriminate at the same time, aiming for Bubbles but hitting unseen inklings. I hunt down the Sting Ray, and try to clear the Tower, but get caught up in a duel with the Dynamo Roller. Thankfully, keeping the roller away from the Tower helps my squidmates clear it, and our lead remains.
The yellow team keep pushing. My position helps me ink from a secondary angle to my squidmates, which is further helped by my Bloblobbes bouncing around everywhere. The yellow team are splatted away before they can get too far again, and we turn the Tower around shortly before the ten-second countdown starts. It's a simple matter to apply keep the Tower and turf blue for a few more seconds, the battle is won. Woomy!
