That E-litre 4K has got us covered from the off. I'm not about to dive in to the open pit without ink for cover, so I'm not sure what I can do apart from keep the charger shooting to deplete its tank. Oh, I suppose I can splat the .96 Gal that has moved up under the charger's cover. I can then move on the Tower, which is crawling closer to us. But I muck up what isn't much of an ambush to start with, and am splatted quickly as Killer Wail tendrils close all over me. At least it provides an opening for my squidmates to follow in behind, even if briefly.

Now I dive in to the pit, and try to hide on the central column. That lets me get on to the Tower and start moving it. A lot of inky pressure comes in, hopping off relieving a bit of it, but finding more in the .52 Gal ahead. I reclaim some turf on my way back, and set up an excellent ambush on the returning Tower. That fails spectacularly badly, and I'm splatted by a bystander, which is disappointing. I stumble on a potential splat as I return, a blue inkling pushing deep in to our turf, neither of us expecting the other to be there. They retreat, I press on, which plays in to their tentacles, as I find myself immediately surrounded.

I take the high road back, which doesn't seem to be necessary as I progress, so I drop down and ink some turf. Here comes the Tower again, and I hear a Kraken somewhere. I decide to hide, which is thwarted by a pesky Killer Wail, and I can't salvage any dignity by getting a splat before I'm splatted again. My squidmates turn the Tower around, which is good, so as I return I sneak past them and wait for an opportunity to spring a trap. I find perhaps the opposite of that moment, popping over the ledge just as someone is coincidentally shooting my way. And all my squidmates get splatted, halting what little progress we made.

I am first out of the blocks to repel yet another attack, and I see the .96 Gal coming close. I can just about squeeze past their Splash Wall, but my lacklustre aim this battle lets me down again, although I get the splat before I am once more splatted. My squidmates are doing better! They get more splats and stay unsplatted, recovering the Tower and riding it forwards. I go to join them, looking to see if a squidmate needs support against the E-litre 4K. They don't. So I once more push forwards, this time in to a power vacuum, my squidmates having secured a Wipeout. Nice!

We're in a good position. I'm in a good position. I'm pressing forwards with turf to work in. I hide a bit, but poke out to get one splat, whip out a Trizooka to get a good long-range splat, and a second closer in. I don't see the fourth inkling's whereabouts until it's too late for the third shot, but I get close and splat them too, just not in time for it to technically count as a Wipeout. But I think I have finally contributed positively to the battle. My squidmates ride the Tower in to the lead as I return, and although they are splatted soon after it is an excellent result.

I head back, get one sneaky splat, and chase the Tower backwards to get one more and have a squidmate clear the Tower. They ride it forwards again as I press in to blue turf. My targeting is a bit off this time, but I manage to stop one inkling from climbing the Tower, and I take over when everyone else is splatted, proving enough threat to discourage the blue inklings from challenging my authority, and trundling the rest of the way to the goal as my squidmates super-jump back. Woomy!
