Hero Mode has these special black and white Soaker Blocks. When you keep inking them, they will generate more blocks, usually in the direction it's pointing towards, until it clicks.

But these Soaker blocks aren't permanent. They will eventually retread back to their source if they go a few seconds without being inked.

If you are going to use Smallfry to ink these blocks, make sure he's inking them on a side that the next blocks will not grow out from, or he'll just be pushed off!
