Bayonetta 2 (NS): Chapter XV: Truth (Normal, All 8 Verses)
After catapulting herself from an self-destructed Umbran Armor, Bayonetta reunites with her mother Rosa to battle more angels in a very familiar place...
The site of the Umbra Clock Tower...
----------
Verse 1 starts as a sort of battle rush against a lot of angel enemies and minibosses from Bayonetta 1. Your new moves and weapons in this game, alongside having Rosa as an ally, should help to make fighting through them easier.
Verse 2 has the return Temperantia and his visceral screams, but he is but another distraction.
Verse 3 has the Umbra Clock Tower destroyed, leading Bayonetta and Rosa to fall infinitely while riding on its debris... just as Bayonetta had done with Jeanne in the first game.
----------
Verse 4 has Rosa vanish, but Bayonetta was able to find Loki during this fall.
But... something was not right about him. He made his appearance known by attacking Bayonetta, and his clothes were a different color. Bayonetta quickly figured something off about him and tried to retaliate with an attack of her own.
But "Loki" blocked this effortlessly. This was not Loki at all, but rather a different half of him named Loptr. Loptr sought out to kill Loki reclaim The Eyes of the World from their current wielders.
----------
Loptr's main method of attack is to use multiple blue arms to attack you and summon magic. He can also use them to toss meteors at you, which you can Gigaton away using Madama Butterfly.
Even when you defeat him in this fight, Loptr just escapes while Bayonetta is left to fall helplessly again.
----------
Meanwhile, in the present timeline, Luka had managed to reach the Gates of Hell. From there, he saw Loki. He finally regained all of his memories, begged Luka to bring him to Fimbulventr, and gave him some sort of trump card before losing consciousness. He is the good half of Loptr's evil half, with the latter being the vision that Loki kept seeing from his headaches before.
----------
Bayonetta's fall had her return to yet another familiar place: The Sunrise & Cresent Valleys.
The Chapter ends when you interacted with the door that a Grace & Glory will guard as Verse 6, but there are two extra Verses you can miss if you take that door.
Go through the path beyond that entrance to trigger Verse 7.
----------
After that, go futher through the path to find Verse 8 as a Muspelheim. This one has you kill the Decorations and Beloved angels without touching the ground.
HOWEVER! There is only one pillar to stand on, and this will quickly fall apart when the Beloved appears!
I suggest using the Alrune whips. Charge their attack to grab and sling around the Decorations, and when the Beloved appears, you should switch to the Salamandra chainsaws to do heavy damage to him. Remember you can constantly jump off of him, but the swing of his axe can also knock you straight to the ground.
----------
When you decide to finish this Chapter, as soon as you make Bayonetta interact with that door... Balder suddenly slides right into view and races Bayonetta into the hall. Together, they witnessed a tragedy...
Loptr had found and slain all of the Umbra Witches inside, including Rosa!
It looks like this is why Balder went after Loki. He thought that he had killed his wife, but this was actually the work of his other half, Loptr. Since Balder was sent back in time, he has now seen his beloved Rosa get slain by the same boy twice.
Bayonetta was able to unlock a portal in the hall to return to her timeline, but Rosa, just barely hanging on, had some final words to say to Balder. She wanted him to take care of Cereza, their dear, sweet child, and see that she reaches her full potential as the Left Eye of the World.
From there, Rosa had once again died. She was not able to see both her husband and their daughter jump back through time to carry out their purposes as the Eyes of the World...
