SPORT MODE QUEST 2 GAMEPLAY // Could This Be The Boneworks Quest 2 We Need? // Physics Playground 2
A Boneworks Quest 2 style game or Boneworks Oculus Quest port is high on a lot of peoples wishlists, Stress Level Zero (the developers of Boneworks) are working on an Oculus Quest title but whilst we're all waiting we need another Quest 2 physics playground to keep us busy... and Sport Mode VR might be just that! Sport Mode, which is actually just Physics Playground 2, is one of the weirdest Quest 2 sandbox games I've ever played, realistic physics and your own imagination collide in this open ended game of creating and destroying bizarre situations that only VR games can offer us. Lets dive into some Physics Playground 2 gameplay / Sport Mode Quest 2 gameplay and see if it will really keep us occupied whilst we search for the true version of Boneworks Quest...
Sport Mode VR / Physics Playground 2 VR has only been out on App Labs for a few days so in it's current state it is very bare bones, a small selection of guns, NPC types, props and tools allow the player to set up strange and amusing situations to test the games physics based mechanics and systems...and that's about as deep as it gets right now. The potential here is fairly huge, the VR physics / Quest 2 physics playground is a joy to run around and everything works exactly the way you would expect (climbing and mantling around the maps is a real highlight as your body has full weight and collision) but the question really is how long will the charm of Sport Mode VR last with its current and fairly limited amount of items and options? I'm confident that with time this Physics Playground 2 / Sport Mode VR game will grow into something exciting but players are going to need a lot more than the current offering to keep them coming back time and time again (multiplayer, a wider variety of objects and a true map builder are all features that would take this game to a completely different level and make it a must buy Quest 2 game).
In it's current state Sport Mode / Physics Playground 2 is hard to recommend to those willing to part with some cash for a true Boneworks Quest 2 game but it has potential and is certainly one to keep an eye on. For those keen to jump in now you can download Sport Mode by following the link below:
