A new WIP has been released, that improves PGXP's "Mem + CPU logic" mode. It doesn't make much of a diference with Spyro, but it fixes other games that had issues with "Mem + CPU", like Metal Gera Solid and Ridge Racer.

A widescreen cheat has been released for Spyro, so I gave it try with the "ultrawide" method, by using the cheat together with the emulators widescreen hack. It crashes during the beginning cutscene, so I skipped it, but gameplay works. Without recording, it needs CPU overclock, because framerate will deep to 23-25 FPS, but it's a smooth 30 with the overclock x1.25, without sound issues. "Mem + CPU", ASM widescreen cheat + hack, and CPU overclock are very taxing for this emulator single thread operations, so that's why it's slow in the video, but I swear it's very playing during normal gameplay XD.
