Just uploading this to confirm a long thought suspicion I had. The way that the flame spreads out has some slight variations which can make getting twofers or triple treats not work, or possibly miss things right in front of you. I waited until the gem fell back into the chest because the flame seems to be able to sneak through to the chest behind more easily while the gem is in the air, so I wanted the flames to be consistent.
