Charter uses electron, d3 and the Tesseract OCR wrapper Tessaract.js to recognize visual input and convert it to charts. These charts can be interacted with by the user to gain more information about the data contained in the image. With this, we can take static images from the real world and turn them into insights in real time using a camera.
