Stackathon Presentation: TickTalk
0Many children have pragmatic language challenges. Making a spontaneous and consistent conversation can be hard to many children with speech delays. Speech therapist is helpful, but, not enough….in order to truly overcome pragmatic language challenges, children need to practice their conversational skills every day and the best way to do it is to talk about subjects they like. TickTalk is a technology based solution to help children practice their conversational skills. The main technology TickTalk is based on is Wit.ai BOT. For this project, Jasmine Zangi trained a wit.ai BOT to make a spontaneous conversation on one the most popular children show – “SpongeBob”. Training a BOT included, submitting all characters, locations and other relevant components from the show in the BOT database. In addition, creating “conversation stories” which are conversation prototypes that the BOT use the generalize conversations.
